Hatchet Hall is a top notch restaurant with exquisite flavors, a beautiful interior, and great service. We ordered the cornbread, a given if you're dining here. It was divine and I liked it the longer it sat, when the flavors of the shishito pepper, honey, and butter were at the forefront. We also had the short rib hash which was delicious. The short rib was delicate, potatoes were soft, the dish had bits of onion, garlic, and tomato jam which were perfect when mixed with the perfectly poached egg. The summer peach salad was a nice touch and cut through the heaviness. The peaches were sweet and ripe, goat cheese and bits of toasted pecans were tasty and combined with the tangy vinaigrette and greens. The coffee and freshly squeezed juice hit the spot and we could've sat there all day looking at the design of the restaurant. The waiters were incredible, attentive, friendly, professional, and knew the menu.

One of the best dinner experiences I've had in a while! Definitely a spot I'd come back to. Firstly, the interior and patio are stunning and so picture-perfect. Really makes you feel like you're in a garden or something. The food is also just so good. We got the Summer Peach Salad, the Cast Iron Cornbread, and the Loaded Baked Potato Gnocchi. The salad was one of the best I've ever had. It had a hefty portion of peaches and was so light, tangy, and summery. The cornbread was also SUCH a standout, and truly the best cornbread I've ever had. It was so flavorful, buttery, and loved the crispy edges. The Loaded Baked Potato Gnocchi was one of the most unique pasta dishes I've ever had. The gnocchi was perfectly chewy, and the sauce was creamy and cheesy. It had a strong bacon flavor, and I really enjoyed the crispy pieces of potato that topped this dish. For dessert, we got the Date Cake, which was very tasty and dense. A great end to the meal. Service was great throughout our meal. Even though we came on a Tuesday evening, there was a decent amount of diners here. Will definitely be back at some point!

MY FAVORITE SPOT IN LA HANDS DOWN!!! Learned about this spot through the documentary "High on the Hog". Stephan Satterfield the host of the show, changed the game for me. I went there once and have come back a dozen times with different friends and family over the years. The cast iron cornbread, collard greens, hatchet wedge are fixes when I go. The Branzino, Shrimp & Grits, & Short Rib are phenomenal. The Toffee Cake dessert is a must have! And the bar is such a beauty! The whole place is a gem! But the bar takes you to another world! The staff is so dope and the ambiance is extremely sexy! This place never gets old!!!
